The African American Studies (AAS) program is part of Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) at Illinois State University. Illinois State University offers major and minor programs that allow students to synthesize knowledge that spans two or more academic disciplines.

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) celebrated the start of the semester Monday with a welcome address from Dean Heather Dillaway followed by the presentation of awards to faculty and staff earned during the 2024-25 academic year.
